This skirt is a wearable work of art! The skirt is made from an antique hand appliqued bed cover. Based on the fabrics and provenance of the piece I believe it dates from the 1920's or earlier. All stitched by hand, this textile must have been a labor of love and was treasured over the decades. Now it has a new life, ready for you to wear! There is a faux button closure down the front, featuring a row of vintage mid-century buttons. The skirt features a flat front waistband, and no roll elastic back for a comfortable and easy fit. Best of all? It has pockets! Two roomy side seam pockets to be exact.
